here is a sign for every planet, but it is the sun sign that is the most important. A star sign has its origin from the star formation that forms the zodiac in the heavens. The zodiac is divided into 12 equal parts. The psyche is compared here to a respective element. The melancholic earth signs are Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. The Choleric fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. The Sanguine air signs are Libra, Aquarius and Gemini and the Phlegmatic water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

Attributes are divided up into leading, solid and changeable. The leading signs are Aries, cancer, Libra and Capricorn and represents initiating and producing energy. The Solid signs are Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. These exhort caution and practicality, but also stand for perseverance and purposefulness. The ambiguous-changeable signs in their turn are Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. These are associated to adaptability and flexibility.

Finally the star signs are grouped according to their polarity. A star sign is neither classed as positive or negative in its nature, neither in the meaning of good or bad, rather in their capacity for expression or to receive impressions. Because all of the planets are under the domain of a zodiac sign, here we are concerned with the perception of balance between over representation or under representation of the positive and negative influences. If the first sign is positive the next is negative. If it is begun with Aquarius then this is positive.
